Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 26, 2026
Viking Truck (“Viking Truck,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) builds, sells, and services septic and vacuum trucks and related equipment from our facility in Forest Park, Georgia. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It covers information you give us through our website, through forms on social media platforms, by phone, or by email.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us:
Contact information: name, email address, phone number, mailing address, city, state, and ZIP code.
Business information: company name, job title, industry, and fleet size.
Inquiry details: your answers to questions on our forms, such as the type of truck or tank you need, your timeline, budget range, financing interest, and any comments you write in.
Transaction and service information: quotes, orders, invoices, unit numbers, warranty and service records, and delivery details.
Financing information: if you apply for financing through us or a lending partner, the information that application requires.
Correspondence: emails, text messages, chat conversations, and form submissions you send us, plus notes our team takes about your inquiry.
Information collected automatically: IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, links clicked, and dates and times of visits. See Section 7 for cookies.
Information from other sources: responses you submit through advertising or lead forms on social media platforms, inquiries passed to us by equipment marketplaces and listing services, and referrals from manufacturers, suppliers, lenders, and other business partners.
2. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
respond to your inquiry and contact you about the truck, parts, or service you asked about, by phone, text message, or email;
prepare quotes, process orders, arrange financing, coordinate build specifications, and schedule delivery;
provide warranty support, parts, and service, and maintain service history for your equipment;
send marketing messages about inventory, parts, service specials, and events, subject to the opt-out choices in Section 6;
operate, secure, and improve our website and forms, and measure how our advertising performs;
keep business records and comply with our legal obligations;
detect and prevent fraud and security incidents.
Where consent is the basis for a particular use, such as marketing calls or texts to the number you provide, you may withdraw it at any time.
3. Lead forms on social media
Some of our ads on social media platforms include a form you can complete without leaving the platform. When you submit one, the platform collects your responses and transmits them to Viking Truck so a member of our sales team can respond to your inquiry. The platform may pre-fill fields such as your name, email address, and phone number from your account, and you can edit them before submitting.
We route those responses to our sales team and to our customer relationship management and lead-routing systems. We use them to contact you about your inquiry and, subject to Section 6, to send you related marketing messages. We do not sell them.
The platform’s own collection and use of your information is governed by that platform’s privacy policy, not this one. Once your responses are transmitted to Viking Truck, our handling of them is governed by this Privacy Policy. To ask what we hold from a form you submitted, or to have it deleted, see Section 10.
4. Automated tools and AI assistants
If you message us through a social media platform or a chat feature on our website, an automated assistant may greet you, answer common questions, and ask about the equipment you need before a member of our team joins the conversation. These tools process the messages and contact information you provide for the purposes described in this policy.
Automated assistants support our team rather than replace it. A Viking Truck representative reviews inquiries and handles quotes, pricing, financing, and service decisions. You can ask to speak with a representative at any point, or contact us directly using Section 14.
5. Who we share information with
We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal information for money. We share it only with:
Service providers who perform services for us and may use the information only for that purpose, under confidentiality obligations: website hosting, customer relationship management and lead-routing platforms, email and text messaging providers, phone systems, chat and automated assistant providers, analytics providers, cloud storage, payment processing, accounting, and IT support.
Advertising and social media platforms, in connection with running and measuring our advertising. This can include uploading contact information in hashed form to build advertising audiences. Under some state privacy laws this type of sharing may be treated as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information even though no money changes hands. See Section 11 to opt out.
Manufacturers, upfitters, suppliers, and transportation providers, where necessary to build, source, warranty, service, or deliver your equipment.
Lenders and financing partners, where you ask us to arrange or apply for financing, insurance, or an extended warranty.
Affiliates and professional advisors, including attorneys, accountants, insurers, and auditors, under confidentiality obligations.
A successor business, if all or part of our business is merged, acquired, or sold.
Government and legal recipients, as described in Section 12.
6. Calls, texts, and email
When you provide your phone number on one of our forms, you agree that Viking Truck and its representatives may contact you at that number about your inquiry, including by phone call and text message, and including by automated means. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.
Text messages: reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them, or HELP for help.
Phone calls: tell any representative you no longer wish to be called, or contact us using Section 14, and we will add you to our internal do-not-call list.
Marketing email: every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Click it, or contact us using Section 14.
Transactional messages: even after you opt out of marketing, we may still contact you about an active quote, order, delivery, financing application, warranty matter, or scheduled service.
7. Cookies and website analytics
Our website uses cookies for essential site functions, to remember your preferences, and to measure site performance. When you first visit, a banner asks you to accept the use of cookies as described in our Cookie Policy.
We may also use advertising and measurement technologies provided by the platforms we advertise on. Where these are active, they let us understand how visitors interact with our site, measure whether an ad led to an inquiry, and show ads to people who have previously visited our site.
Full detail, including how to opt out of third-party advertising cookies, is in our Cookie Policy at https://www.vikingtruck.net/cookie-policy. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings, though some site features may not work correctly if you do. Our website does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals. To opt out of the use of your information for targeted advertising, contact us using Section 10.
8. How long we keep information
Customer, transaction, warranty, and service records: for the life of the relationship and afterward as required for tax, accounting, warranty, title, and legal purposes.
Marketing contact information: until you opt out, after which we keep a minimal record of the opt-out so we can honor it.
We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, unless we must keep it to comply with a legal obligation, resolve a dispute, or enforce an agreement.
9. How we protect information
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These include encrypted transmission of website forms, access controls that limit information to people who need it, and vendor agreements that require appropriate protections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law, including Georgia’s breach notification statute and the law of your state of residence, without unreasonable delay once we have determined the scope of the incident.
Viking Truck operates in the United States and stores information on servers located in the United States.
10. Reviewing, correcting, or deleting your information
You may ask us to confirm and review the personal information we hold about you, provide a copy of it, correct it, or delete it. You may also opt out of marketing messages as described in Section 6, or of the sharing of your information for targeted advertising.
Submit a request by email to john@vikingtruck.net with “Privacy Request” in the subject line, by phone at 404-844-8968, or by mail to the address in Section 14. We will ask for enough information to verify your identity, typically the email address or phone number you gave us, and will not use it for any other purpose. We respond within 45 days and will tell you if we need more time. We do not charge a fee or treat you differently for making a request.
We may keep certain information after a deletion request, such as transaction, warranty, title, or tax records we are legally required to retain, and a record of your opt-out so we can continue to honor it. If we cannot fully honor a request, we will explain why. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and we will answer within 45 days.
11. State privacy rights and children’s privacy
Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have additional rights, including the rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of their personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal information, and certain profiling. To exercise any of these rights, including opting out of the sharing of your information for targeted advertising, use the contact methods in Section 10. California residents may designate an authorized agent and are entitled to non-discrimination for exercising their rights.
Our website, forms, and advertising are directed to businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. How we respond to legal requests
We may access, preserve, and disclose personal information when we believe in good faith that it is necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other valid legal process; to respond to a lawful request from law enforcement or a government authority; to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; to enforce our agreements; to investigate suspected fraud or security incidents; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Viking Truck, our customers, our employees, or the public. Where we are permitted to do so, we will review such requests for validity and object to those we believe are overbroad or improper.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or the law. When we do, we will post the revised policy on this page and update the date above. If the changes are material, we will provide more prominent notice, such as a notice on our website homepage, before the change takes effect. Your continued use of our website or services after that date means you accept the updated policy.
